Road transport

You can reach the island of Pag by road from different directions because, in addition to the ferry, the island is connected with the mainland by a bridge on its southeast side. If you are arriving from Northwest Croatia, the fastest way to reach Novalja is to take the PRIZNA – ŽIGLJEN ferry.

If arriving from Zagreb, take the A1 motorway, continue to the ŽUTA LOKVA – SENJ exit, and then take the southbound main road in the town of Senj. The Prizna Ferry Port is only about 50 kilometers from Senj.

If you are arriving from Rijeka, the main road leads to Prizna. In this case, it is a 110-kilometer trip along the coast of Kvarner.

Ferries sail from Prizna to the island of Pag according to their schedule. They leave almost every 30 minutes during the high season. Signposts will lead you to Camp Straško, which is only 10 kilometers away from the Žigljen Port. There is a sign where you should turn right to reach Camp Straško at the very entrance to the town of Novalja.

If you are arriving on the island of Pag from the south, take the A1 motorway from Dalmatia to the POSEDARJE exit, from where signposts will take you to the island of Pag and the bridge connecting Pag with the mainland. Continue on the island road to the town of Pag (about 25 minutes) and stay on the main road to Novalja once you reach the town of Pag, passing Šimuni, Kolan, Gajac and Zrće Beach on your way. Before you enter the center of Novalja, signposts will show you the way to Camp Straško or Hotel Loža.
